The mission of Long Beach City College (LBCC) is to provide affordable educational programs leading to associate degrees and certificates while also preparing the more than 25,000 enrolled students for employment and facilitating their personal development. Besides enabling students' transfer to four-year institutions, the faculty and staff of LBCC strive to support the diverse community they serve, which includes the school's Liberal Arts Campus and its Pacific Coast Campus. LBCC focuses on such issues as computer literacy, critical and creative thinking, and civic engagement.
