Queen Mary
City of Long Beach Hot Spots
After its retirement in 1967 from serving as a transatlantic ocean liner, the RMS Queen Mary came to Long Beach to be permanently moored. The ship now functions as a hotel, restaurant, museum and tourist attraction, and it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Queen Mary features 365 hotel staterooms, an award-winning seafood restaurant, an Art Deco lounge, and even a guided tour of the ship's paranormal hot spots.
Numerous shows and special events keep guests visiting throughout the year, including a cabaret and dinner theater and the annual Halloween, New Year's, and Independence Day celebrations. Weddings can also be held on the ship. The Queen Mary's Web site has more detailed information.
