Contact University Outreach & School Relations
University Outreach and School Relations (UOSR) is the primary student recruitment and guest relations office for the university. The office disseminates information on CSU and CSULB admissions and financial aid policies and procedures, CSULB’s academic programs, and offers student support services to prospective students and counselors from high schools and community colleges in CSULB's service area and surrounding communities.
A major focus of UOSR is the implementation of outreach and recruitment programs and services to reach a diverse group of talented high-school and transfer students for whom CSULB is the University of Choice. The office, under the direction of the president, is also responsible for the recruitment of California high-school valedictorians and National Merit finalists and semi-finalists for the President’s Scholars Program.
In addition, UOSR administers pre-admissions and application workshops for prospective freshmen and transfer students; the Young Scholars Program for qualified high-school students; the Early Assessment Program (EAP); admission services for adult re-entry students; and educational awareness and academic enrichment services for elementary and middle-school students.
UOSR also offers fun and informative Campus Tours. Guided tours, and specialized campus visits for K-12 students, parents, counselors and other interested groups are offered by appointment only.
